Registration Declaration and Disclaimer
By registering for the Bay to Bay Maritime Hike, I confirm that I participate voluntarily and at my own risk. I confirm that I am medically and physically fit to take part and will not participate if I am unwell, injured or otherwise unable to do so safely. I accept responsibility for my own safety, equipment and personal belongings.
1. Insurance: I confirm that I hold, or will arrange, appropriate personal accident or medical insurance for my participation.
2. Supplies: I will carry sufficient water for the route, together with a charged mobile phone and any equipment specified by the organisers.
3. Litter policy: I will carry all litter with me, including bottles, cups, food packaging and gel wrappers, and dispose of it only at designated disposal points.
4. Registration: All participants must register for the hike in advance and provide current emergency-contact name and mobile number. If participants later decide to transfer their registration to another person, they need to inform the organizers. Unregistered participants may not join the hike.
5. Minimum age: Participants must be aged 18 or above on the event date.
6. Route and safety compliance: I will follow the designated route and comply with all instructions issued by the organisers
7. Weather and safety arrangements: If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or a Black Rainstorm Warning Signal, is in force at 08:00 on the event day, the event will be cancelled. The organisers may also amend, shorten, postpone or cancel the event where weather conditions, trail conditions, official guidance or other safety considerations make this necessary.
8. Photography and filming: I understand that photographs, video and other recordings may be taken during the event. I consent to the hike organisers and Hong Kong Maritime Week using my image in event reports and in future non-commercial promotional materials.
